All this time you’ve just been putting dryer sheets in the dryer!
- The US Postal service sent out a message to all letter carriers to put a dryer sheet of in their uniform pockets to keep yellow-jackets and bees away. Any time you are working or playing outside, put one in you pocket, it really works to keep the insects at bay.
It will chase ants away when you lay a dryer sheet near them. - It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don’t get opened too often. By putting it into photo albums it also keeps the old pictures from sticking together.
- It also repels mice. Spread dryer sheets around foundation areas or in trailers, or cars that are sitting and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.
- It repels mosquitoes. Tie a dryer sheet through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.
- Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen. Simply wipe a dryer sheet over your screen (dusts the screen as well).
- Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a used dryer sheet. I tried a new sheet and it did not work well.
- To freshen the air in your home, place an individual dryer sheet in a drawer or hang in the closet.
- Put a dryer sheet in vacuum cleaner.
- Polish the chrome faucets in your bathroom and polish the chrome on your car with a used dryer sheet.
- Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual dryer sheet inside empty luggage before storing.
- To freshen the air in your car, place a dryer sheet under the front seat.
- Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a dryer sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan.
- Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a dryer sheet at the bottom of the wastebasket.
- Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a dryer sheet will magnetically attract all the lose hairs.
- Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds. Wipe the blinds with a dryer sheet to prevent dust from resettling.
- Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used dryer sheet will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.
- Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual dryer sheet at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.
- Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a dryer sheet in your shoes or sneakers overnight.
- Put a dryer sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.
- Wet a dryer sheet, hose down your car, and wipe lovebugs off easily.
- A good use for used dryer sheets is to dust your furniture, then throw it away.
- You can also dust your floors with a used dryer sheet. How many of you have a swiffer sweeper?
- Instead of buying the sheets to go with it, just put on a used dryer sheet; works just as well.
- Is your hair dry and full of electricity? Gently rub a used dryer sheet over it and it will tame down your hair.
- A used dryer sheet is great to use as a stabilizer if you have an embroidery machine.
- To get rid of the static cling on your clothes, rub them down with a dryer sheet.
- Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a dryer sheet before beginning to sew.
